University Partnership Executive (New York)

Role Overview

As University Partnerships Executive (New York), you will help drive Unibuddy’s future growth by building relationships with prospective universities and helping to turn them into happy and successful users of Unibuddy.

You will manage the very start of the sales process, nurturing and qualifying inbound leads, sourcing new qualified leads to deliver to the sales team and re-invigorating leads that have grown cold. Our clients come from all over the world and you will be responsible for developing opportunities across the US, Canada and South America, working with the sales team to identify key target markets, sectors and organisations.

You will also be responsible for measuring and reporting metrics on the results of our sales campaigns to drive even more successful campaigns as we grow. As we are a rapidly growing company you will gain exposure to all areas of the business, understanding the key success drivers and gaining invaluable experience for your future career.

Success in this role will lead to opportunities for growth across the entire sales team with significant scope for future development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Working with the sales team to define target market segments.
  • Researching target markets to identify the right organisations for us to approach.
  • Contact mapping individuals in target organisations.
  • Developing and executing outbound phone and email sales campaigns to reach our target audience.
  • Qualifying new leads and delivering these to the sales team.
  • Measuring and reporting on success metrics to define sales outreach best practice.
  • Attend and represent Unibuddy at a range of conferences and events across the US.
  • Managing the lead flow process before and after events that we attend and run.
  • Developing our outreach programmes with new innovations to further develop our sales success.

Key Requirements

  • The successful candidate will be curious, hard-working, coachable, driven, passionate and have a great, positive attitude.
  • You may have proven yourself in a previous junior sales role – though this is not a requirement of the role it would be helpful if you had some experience in a customer facing role.
  • Mature communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Analytical approach to work.
  • Feeling at home in a high-growth environment where we don’t know all the answers, but are willing to learn and improve what we do with plenty of opportunities to expand your skills.
  • Degree preferred.
  • You will have a flexible and adaptable approach to work, and will be open to assisting with projects across a range of teams.

Company Overview

We want to connect students so they can find where they belong and achieve success.

We believe that Higher Education has the power to transform lives. It’s a melting pot of cultures, experience, knowledge and passion that creates an invaluable life experience. It’s a tricky journey to navigate though. There are many types of universities and courses and it’s important for students to find the right path for them.

A team of former University professionals and talented developers, we help students thrive through sharing their experiences, effortless technology and the smart application of data.

Together, we bring institutions easy-to-deploy tech, and first-hand experience on how to make the most of it. A simple widget on their website allows prospects and ambassadors to chat and foster a sense of belonging – even before applying. Over 100 years’ collective experience in university marketing and recruitment means we help our partners make it happen – from set-up, to training their ambassadors, through to driving engagement.

Backed by Logitech, Goldman Sachs partners and supported by Strategic Advisors from the biggest HE governmental entities, we’re growing rapidly. Since launching 24 months ago we’ve expanded to work with 140 institutions across the world.

We are now expanding our operations in the US, and are seeking new members for our team to be based in New York. Be part of a new team that pushes our boundaries even further and continues to expand our presence in the US, as well as making a difference for students.
