Agenda for the day

All timings in ET, each session will last 25 minutes with a 5 minute break between sessions

Power to the peers

Diego Fanara, CEO and Founder, will kick off the day with a little bit of what Unibuddy is all about. How have we adapted over the past few months, and how have we seen our partners adapt?

We’ll also give you an introduction to the day and talk through how you can make the most of the Summit.

Impactful peer to peer

We’ll hear how Fordham University has seamlessly embedded digital peer to peer throughout their communications, and adapted it throughout the past few months to have the most impact. Amy Downes from Unibuddy will be joined by Joseph Martinez from Fordham University, to dig deep into how they’ve used Unibuddy to increase engagement with prospective students and what they’ve found to be most effective.

TikTok Advertising 101
In this jam-packed 25 minutes, we’ll share top tips for creating engaging content and compelling campaigns in an exclusive just for student marketers at the USA summit. If you’re a Marketing Director considering the global phenomenon that is TikTok in your advertising plans or a content creator wanting to know how to engage, then this is the event for you.

Richard Campbell, Head of Marketing at Akero, will give his top tips for creating an engaging content strategy and share what content is cutting through with our Study Tubers. We’ll also share tips on creating compelling ad campaigns on TikTok with case study examples from global institutions, before showing you how you can get your institution’s ad campaigns on TikTok quickly, and start reaching your student audience on one of the most exciting and innovative platforms in 2020.

Running a successful student ambassador program

How can you harness the voice of your current students effectively? Paige Steffy, Customer Success Manager from Unibuddy, will share her experience from working with our partners on what makes a great buddy program. She’ll be joined by Victoria Mahoney, who was previously a student worker & tour guide in the admissions office at St. Joseph’s College, a small private college in Brooklyn NY, where they implemented Unibuddy and Victoria became a buddy!

Lunch break!

Taking your orientation online

With over 10 years of higher education experience between them, Brittney McFadden and Kevin Obomanu will talk all things orientation: how can you deliver an orientation experience online that rivals the in person alternative, and how can you still make sure your students feel supported and reassured when they join you this fall?

Making your virtual events stand out in a crowded online market

Online events are the new normal, and it can often be harder to showcase that unique essence of your institution in a digital environment. Missouri Western State University will join Geoff from Unibuddy to share how they have kept their live events engaging amidst the onslaught of ‘webinar fatigue’, and how they’re looking to continue to develop these events over the coming months based on what they’ve learnt so far.

Making your graduate school stand out

Now, more than ever, your business school needs to stand out from the crowd and grab the attention of your prospects. Tina Bhatia from Unibuddy will give you the chance to put your questions to our partners, NYU Tandon and the USC Viterbi Graduate School of Engineering, on how they have differentiated themselves in an online world.

What have 3 million messages taught us?

Yahya and Lou from Unibuddy will be looking at conversational insights from messages shared on our platform across institutions in the USA. They’ll be taking the data and turning it into digestible takeaways that can help you to inform your student messaging, not just during Coronavirus but always. Prepare yourself for a high-speed journey through student minds!
