HELOA Recognises Leicester's Peer-to-Peer Approach
The University of Leicester took home a HELOA Spotlight Award last night for their work with Unibuddy.
The HELOA award for Marketing & Communications recognised an initiative that was particularly innovative, good value for money and impactful.
The University of Leicester’s entry scooped the award, which was judged by Student CRM.
“The massive impact of peer-to-peer”
“Our ambassadors have always been amazing, we know this,” Leicester’s entry explained, “however – not every prospective student knew this.
“Given the massive impact of peer-to-peer in student decision making, we have embedded Unibuddy in all of our marketing and communications to ensure any student, wherever they are in the world can access the information they want, when they want it.”
They summarised that “students love our Unibuddies.”
The University of Leicester uses Unibuddy to connect their best advocates, their current student ambassadors, with prospective students.
Thousands of conversations
With thousands of conversations and sign-ups, students considering the University of Leicester can easily connect with a current student to boost their confidence and create a sense of belonging before they’ve arrived.
Unibuddy CEO, Diego Fanara, said: “We were delighted to see the University of Leicester recognised for their work with Unibuddy. Helping students make informed decisions about higher education is our mission.
“The work that the University of Leicester has done in promoting their Unibuddy platform and sharing their student Buddies with the world has been incredible, and so has the impact.”
