Enhancing Accessibility At Edwards School Of Business
The challenge
Edwards School of Business prides itself on offering students a great recruitment experience. So, when the time came to find a solution that would improve accessibility and enable them to reach their international students faster, they reached out to Unibuddy to help support their journey.
“We found ourselves with the challenge of connecting with our students. We needed to be virtual and accommodate students everywhere. We were used to doing all of our recruitment marketing in person and we realized this was no longer an inclusive way of conducting our initiatives.” Shares Undergraduate Recruitment and Programs Advisor, Vanessa Leon.
Edwards School of Business needed another avenue that was accessible, but also knew it had to be familiar to their students. “We wanted something that they would easily engage with and was appealing to them—that was our main concern. And that’s why we chose Unibuddy. There’s something about instant messaging that’s familiar to Gen Z and therefore a comfortable way for them to connect,” Leon explains.
The Solution
Edwards School of Business were excited to be able to engage their large population of international students around the clock. “Once we had Unibuddy on board we became more accessible—suddenly we could reach our prospective students at any time and that was huge for us!”
The Results
In just over a year, Edwards School of Business has seen over 2,400 sign-ups, over 3,000 conversations and an impressive 29,740 messages exchanged. “We’ve been delighted to see our prospects make real connections with our ambassadors. Reading over some of the conversations they’re having is great—our ambassadors go one step further and agree to show them around campus or even show them where they can have dinner.”
